Husband, Wife, Teenage Daughter Found Dead In San Diego Home

Homicide detectives are investigating after three members of a family were found dead inside a Lake Murray home.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A husband, wife and their teenage daughter were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds Wednesday morning inside a San Diego home, authorities said.

Police officers responded at 8:18 a.m. to a home in the 6800 block of Boulder Lake Avenue in the Lake Murray neighborhood after a caller reported finding two people unresponsive and not breathing, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The caller told police she found the couple inside the home and was concerned about the whereabouts of their teenage daughter.

Officers found a 56-year-old man and 54-year-old woman and pronounced both dead at the scene. The couple's daughter was also found dead inside the home, police said.

Preliminary evidence indicated all three died from gunshot wounds, and investigators recovered a gun inside the home, according to police. Authorities did not indicate who they believe fired the shots or disclose the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct autopsies to determine the cause and manner of each death.

The victims' names were withheld pending family notification.
