2. Bluff collapse closes access to Grandview Beach, the same site where 3 people died in 2019 (10news.com) — Access to Grandview Beach in Encinitas is closed after a new bluff collapse near the site of a deadly 2019 failure, and city crews have gated off the stairs with danger signs. A San Diego State geology professor says such collapses are essentially unpredictable and warns that developing El Niño conditions and ongoing coastal erosion could trigger more failures along the North County shoreline.
3. Downtown San Diego Office High-Rise Reports Trio of Recent Lease Signings (rentv.com) — Downtown San Diego's DiamondView Tower next to Petco Park has landed new and renewed leases with Gensler and GoFundMe, plus a second San Diego location for Lucca Italian Sandwich Shop on J Street. The amenity-rich Ballpark District high-rise, with fitness club and rooftop perks, reflects a local office market where tenants still favor highly walkable, experience-focused workplaces.
4. Anders Dreyer's brace earns San Diego road draw with Inter Miami (statenews.net) — San Diego FC earned a valuable 2-2 road draw against Inter Miami, with Anders Dreyer scoring twice to snap the club's three-game losing streak. Sitting just one point outside a Western Conference playoff spot, San Diego's squad leaned on Dreyer's finishing and CJ dos Santos' six saves to hold off Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
