The court has ordered both men conditionally released, but their proposed placements must receive judicial approval.

Poulsom was convicted of lewd acts involving a child under 14 in cases dating back to 1990 and 1995.

Delrosario was convicted of annoying or molesting children and committing lewd acts against a child under 14 by force or fear in cases dating back to 1986 and 1998.

The sheriff's office said the Department of State Hospitals is responsible for selecting the proposed location. The sheriff's office, San Diego County District Attorney's Office and SAFE Task Force were not involved in choosing the property.

Residents can submit comments supporting or opposing the proposed placements from Oct. 16 through Nov. 5. Comments will be forwarded to the court for consideration.

Comments can be emailed to sdsafe@sdsheriff.org, submitted by phone at 858-583-7238 or mailed to the SAFE Task Force at 9425 Chesapeake Drive, San Diego, CA 92123.

A court hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 12 before Judge Theodore Weathers in Department 1702 of San Diego Superior Court at 1100 Union St. in downtown San Diego. Oral comments may be accepted at the hearing, subject to court ruling.
