SPRING VALLEY, CA — A man wanted on a felony warrant out of Los Angeles County was arrested after leading sheriff's deputies on a pursuit that ended in a crash in East County, authorities said.
Deputies responded shortly after midnight Saturday to a disturbance in the 9300 block of Michelle Court in Spring Valley, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Before arriving, deputies learned that a man at the residence had an active felony arrest warrant.
When deputies arrived, Anthony Dotson, 36, ran out of the home, got into a vehicle and sped away, authorities said.
Deputies attempted to stop Dotson, but he refused to pull over, leading them on a pursuit. He eventually lost control of his vehicle in the 9800 block of Austin Drive and crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
He fled on foot but was quickly arrested by deputies.
Dotson suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities confirmed Dotson had an outstanding felony warrant out of Los Angeles County. He was arrested on suspicion of felony evading and driving under the influence, as well as the outstanding warrant.
