SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego County property owners face an upcoming deadline to pay the first installment of their 2026-27 property taxes.
The first installment is due Nov. 1, but property owners have until Dec. 10 to pay without a late penalty, according to the San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office.
Payments made after Dec. 10 will be subject to a 10% penalty.
The county processes more than 1 million property tax bills annually, generating billions of dollars in revenue to support local public services.
San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Larry Cohen is reminding property owners of the upcoming deadlines and encouraging residents to explore available payment options, including online payments.
The Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office also offers resources to help taxpayers navigate the payment process.
