Another Sunny And Warm Week For San Diego County
High pressure was predicted to strengthen Wednesday and Thursday, boosting temperatures well above normal, forecasters said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Look for another sunny and warm day Monday as a weak low-pressure system was expected to develop and drift south along the Southern California coast through Wednesday, supporting some cooling and fog development, the National Weather Service said.
High pressure was predicted to strengthen Wednesday and Thursday, boosting temperatures well above normal, forecasters said.
"Thursday looks to be the warmest day, before the ridge weakens, easing the heat into the weekend," the NWS said. "Further cooling is likely for next week as low pressure develops and persists over the West."

Patches of fog moved ashore overnight with some dense fog, but have mostly drifted off the coast Monday morning. Intermittent and patchy dense fog was most likely through sunrise, confined to the immediate coast up to a few miles inland.
It will be mostly sunny along the coast Monday with high temperatures from 74 to 79 degrees. The inland areas will be mostly sunny with highs from 81 to 85. It'll be mostly sunny in the mountains with highs from 82 to 89. The deserts will be mostly sunny with highs around 100.

The county's high-pressure ridge could weaken slightly Monday, so temperatures west of the mountains probably won't quite reach those of Sunday.
The weakening high pressure could assist with the formation of more coastal low clouds and fog Monday night into Tuesday, but it still doesn't look like a uniform, solid coverage. And this appears to be the case for the following nights and mornings Wednesday and Thursday.
Temperatures likely will rise quite a bit Wednesday and a few more degrees Thursday.
Mostly clear and calm nights and dry air will allow for efficient cooling at night, into the lower 60s most areas west of the mountains. But for spots in the breezy foothills, lows could remain in the 70s.
A cooling trend Friday continues through the weekend.
With the ridge broken down, the door appears to be wide open to a series of troughs to move through the West Coast next week.
