Armed Man Shot And Killed By San Diego Police In City Heights: Report

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego Police shot and killed an armed man Thursday in City Heights after the man asked officers to shoot him, according to NBC7.

Police first received a call just before noon from a resident who "observed a man holding a firearm to his head" before a police chase that ran from Central Avenue to the 4000 block of 42nd Street ensued, the outlet reported.

After the man asked officers to shoot him, he got up with a weapon still in his hands and police fired, Lt. Kevin Ralph of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department told NBC7.
