Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested In SD After Fleeing From Police
An armed man was arrested after he reportedly invaded a home and robbed a person in San Diego.
SAN DIEGO, CA — An armed man was arrested in connection with a home invasion robbery in San Diego, officials said on Sunday.
Initially, police were responding to reports of loud music coming from a vehicle. When they approached the car, they asked a man to step outside. After exiting the car, he immediately took off running, the San Diego Police Department reported.
Inside the vehicle, police identified an AR-style rifle and magazine on the floorboard. Seconds later, police heard gunshots. Witnesses told officers that they saw a man running in an alley firing a gun.

Thirty minutes later, a victim called the San Diego Police Department to report that he was robbed, explaining that an armed man walked into his apartment and demanded his phone. The victim fought the man, who fired his gun inside the house, police said. The victim was able to flee without sustaining any serious injuries.
Officers later discovered that the owner of the vehicle was also the person who robbed the victim. Shortly after the incident, police were able to find the man and arrest him, officials said.
