San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo is offering eight weeks of free online courses for middle and high school teachers and students who are studying from home during the pandemic. While the online classes were originally created for animal care professionals and students at colleges and universities, this series has been changed and designed to make learning fun and ideal for students of a younger age. The courses are designed to be completed by students in a few short hours and include videos, images, and quizzes to teach students all about animals.

San Diego Air and Space Museum
San Diego’s Air and Space Museum has recently launched SDASM TV to showcase the museum’s expansive archival footage, insider stories, and STEM challenges in order to educate viewers of aviation and space flight history and innovation. SDASM TV features the museum’s Apollo Insider series, where they take viewers into a world with one-of-a-kind videos from their world-class Apollo events featuring actual people who were present when Americans safely landed on the moon.

Birch Aquarium
UCSD’s Birch Aquarium is going live and teaching viewers about kelp, ocean life, and this Sunday they’re even live-streaming the arrival of Spring with Scuba Bunny! This family fun event will feature the aquarium’s Scuba Bunny as two aquarium naturalists talk about what you’re seeing as they feed fish, talk about ocean animal eggs, and answer questions about the ocean world starting at 10:30 AM!
San Diego Public Library
The San Diego Public Library is encouraging kids to put some spring in their step and get reading with their Spring reading program. All you have to do is log the books your child reads, complete the fun at-home activities and collect digital badges for every 100 books they read.
