Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Driver In San Diego
A man was killed in a collision in the Black Mountain Ranch neighborhood Friday night, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A man was killed after the driver of a 2015 Volkswagen EOS struck him while he was riding his bicycle in the Black Mountain Ranch neighborhood of San Diego, authorities said Saturday.
San Diego Police Department officers were called at 6:49 p.m. Friday to Camino Del Sur and Casey Glen where they learned a 50-year-old woman was driving the Volkswagen west on Camino Del Sur in the No. 2 lane and crossed the intersection of Casey Glen. For unknown reasons, the driver suddenly veered into the bike lane and collided with the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Alcohol was determined not to have been a factor in the collision, according to police.
