Black College Expo To Offer Scholarships, On-The-Spot Admissions
Students will have the opportunity to meet with college representatives, apply for scholarships, attend seminars and more.
SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego area high school juniors and seniors can meet with historically Black colleges and universities Thursday at the Black College Expo.
More than 2,500 students from across the region are expected to attend the Black College Expo, according to the San Diego County Office of Education, which hosts the free event in partnership with the National College Resources Foundation.
Students will have the opportunity to meet with college representatives, apply for scholarships, and potentially receive on-the-spot acceptance, according to organizers. There will be seminars on financial aid, career pathways, college life and more.

Now in its ninth year, the Black College Expo is open to students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. More than 30 historically Black colleges and universities are expected to participate, along with representatives from local and state universities, the military, workforce training programs and community organizations, organizers said.
The Black College Expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center at Bayview Baptist Church, located at 6134 Pastor Timothy J Winter St. in San Diego. Students must register through the National College Resources Foundation's online registration site to attend the expo.
