Blood Donors Needed: San Diego County Credit Union Hosting 4 Drives

The blood drives​​​ are in support of the San Diego Blood Bank, which SDCCU has supported for more than 20 years.

SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego County Credit Union is hosting blood drives July 6 at four locations in and near San Diego County.

The blood drives are in support of the San Diego Blood Bank, which SDCCU has supported for more than 20 years.

Just one pint of blood can save up to three lives. The San Diego Blood Bank must collect more than 350 units of blood each day to meet the needs of local patients, according to SDCCU.

"There is currently an extremely low inventory of blood. Hospital shelves are almost empty, and this short supply is affecting thousands of patients," SDCCU said in a news release. "The community is encouraged to help — lives depend on it."
