Body Of Apparent Homicide Victim Found In La Presa

LA PRESA, CA — The body of an apparent homicide victim was found Wednesday near Sweetwater Summit Regional Park.

The discovery in the area of Quarry and Sweetwater roads in La Presa was reported at about 3 a.m., according to San Diego County Sheriff's Department officials.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene just south of the intersection of state Route 54 and SR-125 to take charge of the investigation into the suspicious death, Lt. Chris Galve said.

Further details, including the deceased person's identity and known or suspected cause of death, were unavailable as of early afternoon.
