Body Found On Interstate 805 In San Diego

A pedestrian was found dead in the No. 1 lane of north Interstate 805, the California Highway Patrol reported.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A pedestrian was found dead Tuesday in the No. 1 lane of north Interstate 805, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash happened at 4:38 a.m. Tuesday, according to a CHP incident log. A black Chevrolet pickup hit the body while it was in the road.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office was called to the scene at 4:52 a.m.

A Sigalert was called at 5:02 a.m. and will be in effect for two hours.

The northbound Interstate-15 transition road was shut down at 5:04 a.m., the CHP said.
