Body Found In River Under Mission Valley Bridge In San Diego
Detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found submerged in a river under a bridge in the Mission Valley area.
SAN DIEGO – Homicide detectives Thursday were investigating the death of a woman whose body was found submerged in a river under a bridge in the Mission Valley area.
A person flagged down a San Diego police officer around 11:55 p.m. Wednesday in the 4200 block of Camino Del Rio North after finding a woman's body in a riverbed near the 9900 block of San Diego Mission Road, according to San Diego police.
Officers were led to the location by the witness and found the body partially covered and submerged in the water, Lt. Paul Conley said.

"Homicide investigators were called to the scene and are investigating the incident as a suspicious death," Conley said.
There were no obvious signs of trauma and details about the circumstances of the death, including the identity of the deceased, were not immediately available.
