Border Fire Crosses Into San Diego County
The fire has scorched more than 100 acres south of the international line and 10 acres in San Diego County, according to Cal Fire.

SAN DIEGO – A brush fire that started across the border in Mexico Friday morning had crossed the border by Friday afternoon. The fire has scorched more than 100 acres south of the international line and 10 acres in San Diego County, according to Cal Fire.
The blaze broke out at 11:19 a.m. along the border near Cottonwood Creek and Barrett Truck Trail, south of Dulzura, an unincorporated community in the county, Cal Fire officials said. A total of 60 firefighters were at the scene, including six engines, two dozers, two helicopters, two air tankers, two hand crews and a water tender.
As of 1 p.m., the blaze was 0 percent contained. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
