Boy Arrested After Leading Pursuit In Stolen Vehicle: Police

SAN DIEGO, CA —A juvenile was arrested Wednesday after fleeing from police in an allegedly stolen vehicle near Mira Mesa.

Police received a report of a vehicle stolen from Pacific Beach at about 7:15 a.m. Using GPS, they located and pursued the vehicle until the suspect crashed on Interstate 15 near Hillery Drive.

Police reported a male juvenile was taken into custody uninjured and a female passenger was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The off-ramp of Interstate 15 at Hillery Drive was closed for about 30 minutes, according to Caltrans.

The San Diego Police Department was investigating the incident. No further information was released.
