Breakfast Republic To Close San Diego Area Location

"We are incredibly grateful to have served the La Jolla community and appreciate the loyalty of our guests."

SAN DIEGO, CA — Breakfast Republic plans to close its La Jolla location, the restaurant chain announced Monday.

The decision comes as part of a lease buyout from the property owner, according to the company, which has become a staple in San Diego's breakfast scene. Sunday will be the final day of operation for the eatery at 637 Pearl St.

"We are incredibly grateful to have served the La Jolla community and appreciate the loyalty of our guests," Breakfast Republic founder Johan Engman said in a statement. "While this location is closing, we invite everyone to continue enjoying our signature breakfast experience at the nearby Pacific Beach location."
