Pam Ferris, President and CEO of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities in Encinitas, is named a finalist for the San Diego Business Women of the Year awards. The awards are hosted by the San Diego Business Journal and judged by local business leaders. Finalists and winners are recognized as dynamic women business leaders who have contributed significantly to San Diego’s workplaces and communities.

Ferris has been a leader at Seacrest Village Retirement Communities for 32 years and named CEO in 2000. She has grown the not-for-profit senior housing and healthcare organization from one independent living building in 1989 to a multi-care campus serving independent residents and seniors in assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and those in need of home care.

This year is especially challenging in keeping seniors safe and secure during the COVID-19 crisis.

Ferris serves on the board of the National Association of Jewish Aging Services. She earned a Masters in Social Work (MSW) with an emphasis in gerontology at San Diego State University and has California nursing home and assisted living administrator licenses.
