ArtWalkis back at Liberty Station for its 21st year, bringing a weekend-long celebration of arts and culture to the Arts District Liberty Station, July 31 through August 2. 
The festival celebrates creativity from both sides of the border, with more than 175 artists coming from across several states and Mexico to show and sell their artwork, including paintings, photography, glass and ceramics, jewelry, and sculpture. For families, there will also be a KidsWalk with a variety of hands-on art activities and experiences. 
In addition to exploring a variety of artists, guests can partake in the “Paint the Day at the Beach,” 
an interactive, artist-led activation that invites ArtWalk attendees to collaboratively bring a joyful coastal scene to life. The activation features large-scale, aerial-view coastal artworks, created by <a href="https://creationsbyseh.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Artist Sarah Honaker</a>, using textured and dimensional elements inspired by a day at the beach. 
ArtWalk Liberty Station offers a fabulous outdoor setting, with an abundance of free parking. The festival has a perimeter fence, even though admission is free; the fence allows attendees to enjoy beer and wine (for those 21 years and over), while strolling around the event, rather than having to remain in a beer garden. Guests are asked to show their ID to receive a wristband to be able to purchase alcoholic beverages.
This fine art show is part of the ArtWalk San Diego brand known for bringing together all facets of the arts throughout San Diego, while promoting the experience of owning original art. Each of ArtWalk San Diego’s festivals support their non-profit partner, <a href="https://www.artreachsandiego.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">ArtReach San Diego</a>.

The Music Company

This summer, <a href="https://tmcmusic.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Music Company</a> (TMC) is teaming up with the <a href="https://www.pbartscenter.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Pacific Beach Arts Center </a>to host summer camps that teach and shape the future musicians of San Diego. Three week-long sessions, available for artists ages 12-18, are designed to teach the fundamentals of music production, audio engineering, and live performance. Students will be put into small groups where they will receive hands-on, personalized instruction from TMC’s team. This opportunity is a rare chance for campers to gain a competitive edge and experience at the start of their careers.

By the end of their sessions, students will understand how sound is captured, how to operate audio equipment and software, and how to shape a creative project from start to finish.
