Lead instructor, Steffi Dotson, teaches this class that covers the properties of wood, machine safety and woodworking basics. Students will learn a mix of woodworking techniques, including hand tools and safe practice of machine operations. Depending on the specific project, joinery techniques, proper sanding and finishing are part of the curriculum. Each attendee will make their own project. Because safety is top priority, and each student works at their own speed, students are encouraged to focus on skill building, with future 2-month series incorporating more skills and different projects.
All materials are included. The projects in this class rotate, and we encourage students to repeat to continue learning and dive deeper into woodworking.
