2-Part Workshop: Friday, October 16, 5-7pm & Sunday, October 18, 3-4:30pmAges 10+years are welcome! Join Ms Cristy, Mexican-American artist & educator, as she guides students in preparation for Día de los Muertos. In this session, you will create your own alebrije, a one-of-a-kind magical creature utilizing different media, choosing its colors, patterns, and personality. Discover the colorful world of Mexican Alebrijes and learn about the imaginative creatures that have become an iconic part of Mexican folk art. In the first class, we will create the forms for our creatures. And in the second class, we will spend time painting and adding color and pattern to our dried pieces. Join us for this playful, hands-on-experience where creativity has no limits.

No experience necessary. All materials included.

This workshop is hosted by San Diego Craft Collective. For more free family-fun, please join us on Sunday, November 1st, for our all-ages Día de los Muertos Celebration.
