This Halloween season, <a href="https://www.margaritavilleresorts.com/margaritaville-hotel-san-diego" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Margaritaville Hotel San Diego's</a> LandShark Bar &amp; Grill will transform into “<a href="https://www.margaritavilleresorts.com/margaritaville-hotel-san-diego/live-entertainment/lost-temple-tavern-oct-10-oct-31" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Lost Temple Tavern</a>,” a haunted jungle pop-up running from October 10 through October 31. Guests will step into an abandoned tropical outpost overtaken by twisted vines, ancient relics and mysterious forces lurking deep within the jungle. The immersive experience will feature overgrown jungle décor, tropical skeletons, cursed castaways, ancient artifacts, eerie photo opportunities and spooky twists on familiar island-inspired elements. Guests can explore the tavern while enjoying themed tropical cocktails and island-inspired food specials available for purchase.

The experience will also feature immersive entertainment and interactive elements throughout the month. On Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 7:30 pm, a live DJ will add to the nighttime atmosphere with music and entertainment. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in costume and ready to venture into the unknown. Located inside LandShark Bar &amp; Grill at Margaritaville Hotel San Diego, “Lost Temple Tavern” runs daily from 7 am until close, October 10 through October 31.

The Art Glass Guild will be hosting their 2026 Fall Patio Show and Sale on October 10th
and 11th. This show is the largest Art Glass show in Southern California and is focused on showcasing art created by local San Diego Glass Artists. 
Visitors will see the patio full of juried artists exhibiting their creations as they stroll through Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park. Beautiful art glass exhibiting techniques such as: blown, fused, torch, stained, cast, and etched will be on display with the artist right there to explain or show how it is done. There will be entertainment for all including, a demonstration featuring torch-work, as well as an area for children and adults alike to create their own unique mosaic art piece to take home.

<a href="https://kb.nkba.org/chapters/san-diego/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The National Kitchen &amp; Bath Association (NKBA) San Diego Chapter</a> is bringing back its highly anticipated NKBA San Diego Kitchen &amp; Bath Tour on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, offering design enthusiasts, homeowners, industry professionals and anyone planning a remodel the opportunity to step inside five exceptional private residences throughout San Diego County.
The self-guided tour will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will showcase thoughtfully designed kitchens and bathrooms created by some of San Diego’s most talented local designers, remodelers and industry professionals. The five homes featured on this year’s tour are located in Chula Vista, La Mesa, Kensington and Scripps Ranch, giving attendees the opportunity to experience a variety of architectural styles, design approaches, materials and solutions in real residential settings.
Each home on the tour offers a unique perspective on kitchen and bath design. Attendees will see everything from custom cabinetry and statement islands to luxury appliances, innovative plumbing fixtures, distinctive surfaces and carefully considered lighting and details.
Several of the homes feature products from leading kitchen and bath manufacturers and suppliers, providing attendees with the opportunity to see how today’s products perform within complete, professionally designed spaces.
Designers and participating industry partners will be available throughout the tour to discuss the design process, materials, products and challenges involved in creating each space. The tour guide will provide information about each residence, including the design vision and products featured in the home, allowing attendees to learn more about the design decisions behind each project.
Whether visitors are preparing for a renovation, gathering ideas for a future project or simply appreciate exceptional residential design, the NKBA San Diego Kitchen &amp; Bath Tour offers inspiration that can’t be replicated in a showroom.
The event also provides an opportunity to connect homeowners with the San Diego design and remodeling community and learn about the professionals who specialize in creating beautiful, functional kitchens and baths.

Beginners welcome! Ages 16+years! This class is perfect for anyone new to basket weaving! In this 4 hour workshop, Instructor Marsha Orr will guide you as you learn to create a beautiful woven bowl while learning essential techniques like working with a wooden slotted base, twining, twill weave, and finishing with a matchstick rim. You’ll choose from several gorgeous dyed reeds, and all you need to bring is an old towel and sturdy scissors; a spray bottle is helpful but optional. Your finished basket will be approximately 5″ wide by 5″ high.
No experience necessary. Ages 16+ welcome.

Explore Shibori techniques! Saturdays, Oct 10, 2-5pm &amp; Oct 17, 3-5pm Beginners and more advanced dyers welcome! Ages 12+ years! Join us for a fun, hands‑on Natural Indigo Dyeing Shibori class with Instructor Sarah Winston.
This 2‑day class emphasizes process over final outcomes, encouraging students to enjoy the journey of making—discovering the pleasure and satisfaction that comes from using one’s hands and eyes, building skills, and developing a thoughtful, flexible creative mind. Each student will dip their projects in a natural indigo vat to achieve the classic blue hue.
Across the two days, Sarah will teach two dye‑resist techniques while students work on a bamboo scarf and a cotton scarf.
On Day 1, students will learn and practice Ori‑nui shibori (stitch resist), a more intricate method where motifs are drawn and stitched with a simple running stitch. After dipping the textiles in indigo, the thread is pulled tight and the fabric is dyed. Once unstitched, the motifs reveal wondrous images and designs. On Day 2, students will explore Itajime shibori (shape resist), a playful technique where fabric is folded and pressed between shaped blocks. When unfolded, the fabric reveals beautiful kaleidoscopic designs. This class is an excellent opportunity for complete beginners as well as more advanced students who want to delve deeper into indigo dyeing with resist techniques.
