The FACE Foundation Annual Fundraiser at the Natural History Museum

The FACE Foundation Annual Fundraiser at the Natural History Museum

Now in its 20th year, the FACE Foundation—a San Diego-based nonprofit providing financial assistance to pet owners who cannot afford emergency or critical veterinary care—will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 8 at the NAT | San Diego Natural History Museum in Balboa Park. The evening will honor more than 5,000 pets saved and the extraordinary community behind this lifesaving work.

FACE is honored to welcome two accomplished champions to moderate and emcee its 20th anniversary celebration. Carrie Bates, a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and CoCo Vandeweghe, a former world No. 9 and 2018 U.S. Open Women’s Doubles Champion, will bring warmth, energy, and distinction to the occasion. Their charisma and stage presence will help create an unforgettable and meaningful evening —one that reminds all in attendance of the extraordinary spirit that has sustained and propelled this local organization for 20 years.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the San Diego Natural History Museum and connect with friends, donors, past grantees, veterinary partners, and community supporters before the evening program begins. A seated buffet dinner will begin at 6:45 p.m. with selections accommodating a variety of dietary preferences, including vegan and gluten-free options.

Guests are encouraged to dress in comfortable cocktail attire. Complimentary self-parking and valet service will be provided. To reserve your seat, please visit www.face4pets.org/20th-anniversary.

The FACE Foundation provides financial assistance to families who have exhausted all other options and are at risk of losing their beloved pet because they cannot afford emergency or critical veterinary care. Through its Save-A-Life Program, FACE helps low-income families, senior citizens, veterans, military families, students, people with disabilities, and others experiencing financial hardship.

Rising veterinary and household costs leave many families facing the heartbreak of “economic euthanasia.” FACE’s mission is to end euthanasia due to financial hardship by providing the resources needed to keep

pets and their families together. FACE recently reached another significant milestone: $12 million in lifesaving grants provided since its founding in 2006.
