Chick-Fil-A Opening Third Drive-Thru Focused Location In San Diego County

ESCONDIDO, CA — Chick-fil-A is opening its third drive-thru focused location in San Diego County.

The new eatery will open at 6 a.m. Thursday in Escondido, bringing about 85 jobs to the community. The drive-thru focused location will also offer carry-out, delivery, catering and outdoor seating.

Local owner-operator Zach Thomas, a North San Diego resident, said he plans to be on-site daily at Chick-fil-A Centre City to work alongside employees and serve the community.

Thomas began with Chick-fil-A as a team member in 2018 and completed the company's Leadership Development Program before opening his first restaurant.

"I was first introduced to Chick-fil-A as a freshman in college and was instantly drawn to the brand for their incredible service and genuine care for people," he said. "I knew I wanted to own a business rooted in strong values, and Chick-fil-A gave me the opportunity to build a legacy by investing in leaders and serving a community I care deeply for."

The opening celebration includes a "Moove-In Party," where customers dressed in cow attire can receive a free entrée or kid's meal in the drive-thru or through the walk-up window, while supplies last. Chick-fil-A, Inc. will also donate $25,000 to Feeding San Diego to support local hunger relief efforts.

With the opening of Chick-fil-A Centre City, the San Diego market now has three drive-thru-only locations, a spokesperson confirmed to Patch. The other two locations are Chick-fil-A Clairemont and Chick-fil-A Mile of Cars Way.

"We are always evaluating new locations to better serve our guests, but we have no new restaurants to confirm in the Escondido area at this time," a spokesperson told Patch.

The eatery will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 515 W. 13th Ave. in Escondido.
