Cooler, Dryer Weather Expected This Week In San Diego County

SAN DIEGO, CA — A cooling and drying trend is predicted for San Diego County this week, forecasters said Sunday.

The generally pleasant weather should last through next weekend, according to the National Weather Service. The coast should remain mostly mild, with morning low clouds giving way to sunshine most days. Inland areas will be warmer, while mountain communities should see comfortable afternoons and cool nights.

Coastal highs will be about 77 to 80 degrees, with lows of 66 to 70. Inland valleys highs will be 84 to 92 degrees, with lows 58 to 66. Mountain highs will be 70 to 82 degrees, with lows 45 to 58, and the deserts will reach 100 to 108 degrees this week, with lows of 65 to 76, the NWS said.

"An area of high pressure may strengthen by the end of next week, nudging temperatures back above average," forecasters added.
