​'Dangerously Hot Conditions' Expected In San Diego County Deserts

The warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday in the deserts, according to the National Weather Service. Dangerously hot conditions are expected in the deserts, with temperatures up to 112 degrees.

"Heat-related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events," forecasters warned.

Officials reminded residents to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.
