Dinner-Made-Easy, To-Go Kits Added To Rubio's Menu

In need of shelter-in-place meal inspiration?

SAN DIEGO, CA — Sheltering-in-place families seeking fresh dinner ideas have two new options available at Rubio's — a $29 taco kit and a $29 burrito box — both available for a limited time.

The new family taco kit serves four to five and includes a choice of grilled chicken, steak or grilled shrimp, a choice of “no fried” pinto beans or black beans, and either lemongrass citrus rice or Mexican rice, plus such toppings as guacamole, romaine, shredded cheese, chipotle sauce and mild salsa. The meal also has a mix of eight corn and flour tortillas and tortilla chips.

The family burrito box offers a choice of any four burritos, including chicken or steak burrito especials, shrimp burrito and bean and cheese burritos, along with a choice of “no fried” pinto beans or black beans, and citrus rice or Mexican rice, plus mild salsa, guacamole and tortilla chips to share.

“We’re all in this together and are grateful to everyone who orders," said Ralph Rubio, founder of the San Diego-based business. "Every meal helps keep the majority of our restaurants open, keeps people employed, and enables us to give back by feeding frontline healthcare workers in our communities.”
