Marina Bolam, 27, one of the show's principle skaters, plays Queen Elsa on the ice.

"It's a Disney On Ice show like you've never seen before," Bolam told Patch. "The original Disney On Ice skating plus the acrobatic elements really make for a magical show. I think San Diego is going to want to see this."

Bolam started skating when she was just 4 years old. She has skated with Disney On Ice since 2016.

Bolam found her way to Disney through a friend, a fellow skater who shared the same coach. She portrayed Snow White in her first show, Disney On Ice presents Follow Your Heart, which was the first time she had ever seen a Disney On Ice show.

"I had been skating my whole life, but I never knew there was this whole new world," she said. "It was magical coming to tour and learning there was still so much to skating that I didn't know about."

Although Follow Your Heart will always have a special place in her heart, Bolam said Mickey's Search Party is an exciting show that pushes her aerial arts skills. The show's multi-leveled production numbers feature dynamic moments on the ice and in the air while telling the stories of "Frozen," "Coco," "Toy Story," and more.

The show also includes Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie as their adventure takes them to a whole new world.

Jessica Hatfield, 37, one of the show's principle skaters, portrays Princess Jasmine.

Hatfield, who started skating when she was 5 years old, has always been a fan of Jasmine. As a child, she dressed up as the princess for Halloween. Now, she gets to dress up as Jasmine on the ice.

"She's one of the few princesses that wears pants, so we can do a lot of fun tricks where I'm upside down and flipping," Hatfield told Patch. "They're really crowd-pleasing tricks. They're really interesting and a little dangerous, honestly, but I just love it."

Hatfield has skated with Disney On Ice since 2015. Over the years, she has seen many of the shows, which she said are all unique. Mickey's Search Party is special because it is fast-paced with acrobatic elements, she said.

"There's never a dull moment," she said. "The audience is engaged from the time the show starts to the time the show finishes."

Shows for Disney On Ice presents Mickey's Search Party are scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday at Pechanga Arena at 3500 Sports Arena Blvd. in San Diego.

"Live entertainment is just something that should be experienced," Hatfield said. "Our company wants to make core memories for families. I just really encourage people to come out and see it."

Tickets can be purchased online at AXS.com or in-person at the venue box office.
