Dog Daycare is Back: Dogtopia in Miramar Safely Reopens for Pups
Dog Daycare, Boarding and Spa Facility Reopens in San Diego

Dogtopia, the nation’s leading dog daycare, boarding and spa facility, reopened in Miramar. Situated at 5260 Eastgate Mall, this location closed due to COVID-19 sanctions and will now provide contactless drop-off and pick-up services for pet parents and will continue to maintain a robust cleaning regimen.
Excited to serve the San Diego community again, Dogtopia is currently offering three free trial days of daycare for those who complete the Meet and Greet. Additionally, for frontline workers, they’re offering extended hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., 10 percent off Dogtopia services and a free bath for pups.
Dogtopia maintains a custom cleaning program that utilizes pet-safe cleaning products that clean, disinfect and offer the highest level of safety available. The playrooms are sanitized twice daily from top to bottom when the pups are resting, and routine detail cleaning is performed throughout the day. Each playroom has a powerful HVAC system, with in-duct UV lighting, that funnels air out of the building to ensure clean, fresh air, and eliminates bad bacteria.

With a focus on personalized care for San Diego pups in a fun, safe and comfortable environment, Dogtopia sets the industry standard among dog daycares with its three key benefits: education, exercise and socialization. To ensure the safety of all pups, pet parents and employees, Dogtopia Miramar is taking extra safety precautions alongside their rigorous cleaning protocol.
Pet parents are now able to drop off and pick up their pups, contact-free with Dogtopia’s curbside service. Known for their cleanliness, Dogtopia will maintain all safety and health guidelines by having employees, known as Dogtopians, cleaning door handles, countertops, keyboards, phones, light switches, faucets, sinks and other frequently touched surfaces throughout the day. Additionally, collars and slip leads are disinfected before each use.

“We are thrilled to open our doors again to the neighborhood and provide much-needed care for dogs in the area,” said Dogtopia Miramar owner Diane Hotz. “The health and safety of our pups, their parents and our staff are most important, which is why we are following very specific cleaning and sanitary protocol in our facility. Pups are able to have the most exciting day ever, and pet parents are able to drop their pups off with ease knowing they’re safe and entertained.”
After consistently being home with their parents, dogs can develop separation anxiety when parents leave or start to spend more time outside of the home. Dogtopia’s environment allows dogs to feel comfortable, enjoy plenty of playtime and exercise and the various playrooms offers fun for dogs of similar size and temperament. Each playroom has compressed rubber flooring to ease joints, prevent slipping and promote safer play. Dogtopia gives each dog an opportunity to socialize and stay active throughout the day in an environment that is safe and clean, which can ease their separation anxiety and give pet parents peace of mind.
Dogtopia’s fees are all-inclusive – meals are prepared according to each pet parent’s direction. To foster complete transparency, pet parents are walked through a detailed facility tour while their furry children are evaluated for Dogtopia’s open-play environment. Dogtopia employs webcam technology in each playroom that allows pet parents to check on their pups from anywhere.
Dogtopia of Miramar is open Monday through Saturday. For more information, call 858-225-7072 or visit https://www.dogtopia.com/san-diego-miramar/.
