A motorist was killed when he crashed a high-performance collector car off a Mira Mesa street at high speed, authorities reported.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A 59-year-old motorist was killed Friday when he crashed a high-performance collector car off a Mira Mesa street at high speed, authorities reported.
The man was heading south in the 11500 block of Black Mountain Road when he lost control of the Shelby Cobra shortly before 9:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
The sports car veered off the roadway and struck a tree near Westview Parkway, killing the driver at the scene, Officer Tony Martinez said.
