Driver Killed In Solo Crash Off Interstate 15 In North County
The driver veered from the traffic lanes and off the roadway, down a steep embankment, for unknown reasons, CHP officer Hunter Gerber said.

FALLBROOK, CA — A man was killed in a solo-car crash over the weekend in San Diego's North County, the California Highway Patrol announced Monday.
The crash was reported at about 5:50 p.m. Saturday on southbound Interstate 15, south of Mission Road in Fallbrook. The driver was traveling southbound when he veered from the traffic lanes and off the roadway, down a steep embankment, for unknown reasons, CHP officer Hunter Gerber said.
The 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, Gerber said. His name has not yet been released.

"It is not known if alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision," Gerber said. "This incident remains under investigation."
Witnesses were asked to contact the CHP at 760-643-3400.
