Earthquake In Mexico Shakes San Diego County

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Monday morning in Mexico and rattled residents across San Diego County.
The quake was reported at 4:21 a.m. about five miles west-northwest of El Sauzal, Baja California, Mexico, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake had a depth of nearly nine miles.
The quake was centered about nine miles from Ensenada, 52 miles from Chula Vista and 64 miles from San Diego.

Residents across the county reported feeling the quake, including in Chula Vista, El Cajon, Imperial Beach, La Mesa, Lakeside, Poway, San Diego, San Ysidro, Santee and Spring Valley, according to the USGS.
