Earthquake Near Borrego Springs Rattles San Diego, Riverside Counties
The small quake was reported Tuesday afternoon. Did you feel it?
BORREGO SPRINGS, CA — A small earthquake rattled parts of Riverside and San Diego counties Tuesday afternoon.
The 3.1-magnitude quake was reported at 2:50 p.m. about 11 miles north of Borrego Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was roughly 7 miles deep.
Residents reported feeling the quake in Riverside and San Diego counties, including in Murrieta, San Diego, San Marcos, Santa Ysabel and Temecula, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map.
