Easter Egg Hunts Slated At San Diego Animal Sanctuary And Farm

ALPINE, CA — San Diego Animal Sanctuary and Farm is celebrating spring with four days of Easter Egg Hunts this holiday weekend.

There will be daily egg hunts Thursday through Sunday at the 20-acre animal sanctuary in Alpine, which is home to more than 200 domesticated livestock and exotic animals.

The egg hunts will begin at 11 a.m. daily, with an additional hunt at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $12, plus admission per child. The price includes one Easter basket and a total of up to 12 eggs. More than 8,000 eggs will be filled with plush animals, toys and candy, spread out across the farm, according to organizers. There will also be a chance to find one giant egg with a special plush and family passes hidden in two golden eggs during each hunt.

The farm's bunnies will be at the event. The Easter Bunny will also visit each day at 11 a.m. and again at 3 p.m. on weekends.

San Diego Animal Sanctuary and Farm is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Reservations are no longer required.

Single day admission is $40 for adults, $36 for seniors and $25 for kids. Children under 2 are free. Visitors can feed orchard hay over or through the fence for $5 per bucket and poultry feed for $2 per cup.

San Diego Animal Sanctuary and Farm is at 5178 Japatul Spur in Alpine.
