Encinitas Pauses City Music Series Through Mid-February Due To COVID-19

Officials "made the difficult decision," which affects Wednesdays@Noon concerts and the Music by the Sea series.

Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, the city of Encinitas will suspend two concert series through Feb. 15.

Officials said they “made the difficult decision,” which affects Wednesdays@Noon concerts as well as the Music by the Sea series, both at the Encinitas Library.

Refunds for Music by the Sea will be issued automatically, with the credit set to appear in two weeks.

“This was not an easy decision to make, but one made to protect the health and safety (of) our program participants and city staff,” officials explained. “We look forward to having music fill the Community Room again soon.”

The first Music by the Sea series show after the suspension is Feb. 18. Wednesdays@Noon is set to resume Feb. 16.
