Evacuations Lifted for Fire Near Brengle Park in Vista

VISTA, CA — Forward progress of a tree fire adjacent to Brengle Terrace Park in Vista has been stopped and evacuations in the area were lifted Sunday.

The fire broke out in the 1200 block of Vale Terrace Drive shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday, and was reported at about 100 feet long in a row of trees and said to be threatening structures.

Vista High School was designated as the temporary evacuation site, located at 1 Panther Way.

Firefighters remained on scene for mop-up operations Sunday morning.

No injuries or structural damage were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
