SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Rubio’s Coastal Grill and the San Diego Padres are teaming up for the 2022 MLB season with an offer sure to appeal to baseball fans and taco lovers.
Each time the Padres steal a base at Petco Park, folks can score a free, Rubio’s taco of their choice, with any purchase, the day after the game.
“We are pleased to bring together two hometown favorites,” said Sergio Del Prado, Padres senior vice president, corporate partnerships.

To redeem the offer, diners can order one à la carte taco via the app or online with promo code GOPADRES, or by mentioning the deal if ordering at a restaurant, the company said.
The freebie is for the day after the game, and must be accompanied by another purchase.

“When it comes to feeding San Diego Padres fans, Rubio’s is all in,” said Ralph Rubio, co-founder of the San Diego-based chain that began in 1983 as a walk-up, food stand.
“Rubio’s got its start in San Diego and has been involved in the community for 39 years," he added. "We’re excited to cheer on the Padres this season, and to celebrate every stolen base with free tacos.”
The Rubio’s nearest Petco Park is at 3555 Rosecrans St. The coupon code, however, can be redeemed at any Rubio’s Southern California locations.
