Family Of 3 Found Dead In San Diego Home Identified

Investigators recovered a gun inside the home.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities have identified a husband and wife who were found shot to death along with their teenage daughter inside a San Diego home.

David Voight, 56, and Amy Voight, 54, were found dead Wednesday morning in their home in the 6800 block of Boulder Lake Avenue in the Lake Murray neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Their 13-year-old daughter was also found dead inside the home. Police did not release her name.

Officers were called to the home at 8:18 a.m. after a caller reported finding two people unresponsive and not breathing. The caller was also concerned about the whereabouts of the couple's daughter.

Officers pronounced the couple dead at the scene and found their daughter while searching the home.

Preliminary evidence indicates all three died from gunshot wounds, police said. Investigators recovered a gun inside the home.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct autopsies to determine the cause and manner of each death.

Police have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the deaths or identified who they believe fired the shots.
