FEMA To Open 2 Disaster Recovery Centers For San Diego Flood Victims

The centers will be at the Mountain View Community Center and the Spring Valley County Library.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Two Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Recovery Centers will open Friday to help flood victims in San Diego County.

FEMA worked with the state, the county and the city of San Diego to set up the centers to help community members impacted by the Jan. 22 storms.

The centers will operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at the Mountain View Community Center and the Spring Valley County Library.

Residents impacted by the storms can register with FEMA for federal assistance and disaster loans. The centers will also offer information from the county, state agencies and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Flood victims can apply for federal assistance through April 19.

The centers are located at the Mountain View Community Center at 641 South Boundary St. in San Diego, as well as the Spring Valley County Library at 836 Kempton St. in Spring Valley.

Residents can also visit DisasterAssistance.gov, use the FEMA mobile app or call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362. The line is available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
