SAN DIEGO, CA — A vacant house sustained $200,000 in total damages from a fire started by a car Tuesday, according to the San Diego Fire Department.
The fire was first reported at around 4 a.m. at the home, located at 3409 Sparling St. in the Oak Park neighborhood.
A car parked in the driveway caught on fire and then spread to the home, which had been empty for about a year, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue.

Structural damages were estimated to be $150,000, while the content loss was $50,000, the department said.
There were no injuries, and the SDFD was investigating what caused the blaze.
