SAN DIEGO, CA — It took fire crews about a half-hour Wednesday to subdue a blaze that damaged a heavily cluttered Serra Mesa home and left one firefighter injured, authorities reported.

The fire erupted shortly before 3:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of Chauncey Drive, south of Aero Drive and just east of Murray Ridge Road, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
