A fire that erupted in a laundry dryer engulfed a garage at a Loma Portal-area home.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A fire that erupted in a laundry dryer engulfed a garage at a Loma Portal-area home Thursday.

The non-injury blaze broke out shortly before 12:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Azalea Drive, just north of Chatsworth Boulevard, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

It took crews about 10 minutes to extinguish the flames, the city agency reported.
