Flood Watch In Effect For Parts Of San Diego County
Excessive runoff from rain can result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone areas.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A flood watch is in effect through Thursday evening for parts of San Diego County.
The flood watch is for the county deserts and mountains, according to the National Weather Service. The communities of Borrego Springs, Julian and Pine Valley are among those impacted.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected Thursday afternoon and early evening, the NWS said. Slow-moving thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rainfall.

"You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings," the NWS advised. "Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop."
