Frost Advisory Issued For Parts Of San Diego County
It's going to be another cold night in the San Diego region. How low will temperatures drop?
SAN DIEGO, CA — It's going to be cold overnight Thursday in the San Diego region.
A frost advisory will be in effect from 10 p.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday for the county deserts and valleys, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will continue to decrease and become light in most areas, following the mid-week storm that brought gusty winds, coastal flooding, high surf, and scattered showers to the region.
"Temperatures as cold as 32 to 37 degrees in wind-sheltered valleys will result in frost formation, especially in grassy and mulch areas," the NWS wrote.

Forecasters warned that frost could kill sensitive outdoor plants and vegetation if left uncovered. Additionally, pets should be brought indoors.
Days will warm into Saturday, but nights will continue to be cold, according to the NWS. A weak and milder weather system will pass by to the east Saturday night and Sunday, when winds are expected to increase and showers are possible in the mountains.
