Gas Price Goes Up Again In San Diego County

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline rose Friday for the ninth time in 10 days.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Friday for the ninth time in 10 days, increasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.427.

The average price has risen 4 cents over the past 10 days, including three-tenths of a cent Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 3.1 cents more than one week ago, 3 cents higher than one month ago and 39.3 cents greater than one year ago.

The average price has risen 30.5 cents since the start of the year.

"Although gasoline inventories continue to be well above normal, extended refinery maintenance continues to put some upward pressure on prices," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
