Gas Prices Drop For 11th Consecutive Day In San Diego County

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Friday for the 11th consecutive day.

SAN DIEGO — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Friday for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing one cent to $4.142.

The average price has dipped 6.4 cents over the past 11 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The decreases follow a run of 19 increases in 21 days totaling 56.3 cents, pushing the average price to its highest level since July 20, 2015.

The average price is 3.9 cents less than one week ago, but 41.7 cents more than a month ago and 30.7 cents higher than a year ago.

It has risen 80.1 cents since the start of the year.
