Missing Girl Found In National City

Sofia Marie Labra, 10, was reported missing Wednesday night in the 1900 block of E Avenue, according to police.

Update: Sophia was found at the corner of 18th Street and E Avenue near her home, police said. She's being transported to the station to be interviewed.

NATIONAL CITY, CA – Police are searching for a 10-year-old girl who went missing Wednesday night in National City. Sofia Marie Labra was reported missing about 9 p.m. in the 1900 block of E Avenue, according to the National City Police Department.

Police went door-to-door Thursday morning in a National City neighborhood in search of Sofia, who is believed to have run away from home. Officers said she has run away on previous occasions and they do not believe she was abducted.

Sofia is 5 feet tall and weighs 85 pounds. She has straight, shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt and light blue pants.

Anyone with information about Sofia's whereabouts was asked to call the National City Police Department at 619-336-4411.
