Gordon Ramsay Visits Hell's Kitchen Harrah's Resort SoCal
The multi-Michelin star chef arrived in Southern California to tour his newest Hell's Kitchen restaurant along with "Master Chef Season 13."

SAN DIEGO, CA — Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay recently brought the cast of "Master Chef Season 13" to his Hell's Kitchen Harrah's Resort Southern California restaurant in north San Diego County, closing the 332-seat restaurant to guests for the day. Ramsay, a longtime judge for the Fox show, had the final six contestants of "Master Chef" cook for invited guests and judges, giving Ramsay a chance to see all ovens firing.
Hell's Kitchen Southern California is located 777 Harrah's Rincon Way in Funner-Valley Center and is a favorite repeat dining location for locals, according to restaurant reviews. He told reporters that bringing the "Master Chef Season 13" contestants down for the day was his first chance to set foot at the finished restaurant since it opened.
"I'm very pleased with the beginning," he said. "The demand's off the charts. But all restaurants need a settle-down point." For Ramsay, opening with a brand like Hell's Kitchen allows guests to share both the positives and the negatives quickly.

"Everyone's a critic ... all I want to know at the beginning of owning any restaurant are the negatives," he told the San Diego Union-Tribune.
For now, reviewers on Open Table.com have given the restaurant 4.5 stars over 1,450 reviews. It is listed as "good for special occasions, romantic, and fancy," and the food and staff have received rave reviews.

Hell's Kitchen opened in 2022 with a limited menu, allowing the staff to fall into stride and serve food on schedule and with his famous consistency. Guests can choose from chilled seafood such as oysters on the half shell or shrimp cocktail, nibble appetizers like pan-seared scallops or lobster risotto and dine on Ramsay's famous beef wellington. If you can't choose, there is always the HK signature prix fixe menu that ends with the sticky toffee pudding with dulce de leche ice cream.
Ramsay said that in the coming months, he would introduce new menu items to the kitchen, according to the report in the San Diego Union-Tribune. Those menu items may include changes to the wine menu, as well. Ramsay said he appreciates Temecula Valley Wine Country wine, though none is currently on the Hell's Kitchen wine list. That is something he says may change soon.
"The idea of bringing Temecula into that wine programming was crucial for pairing the food. I think you'll see a lot more locally sourced ingredients across...specialty dates on the calendar," he told reporters. "It's a dream scenario. No one quite understands the magic that this part of Temecula offers. The wine region is incredible. You forget just how fruitful the area is. I think it's one of the best-kept secrets down here."
