Heads Up: Cinco De Mayo DUI Patrols Will Be Out In Force
BREAKING: Extra DUI patrols planned.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA – San Diego County Sheriff's deputies will be adding extra DUI patrols across San Diego County on Friday, May 5, plus holding a DUI checkpoint in Vista.
"You will go to jail if you are caught drinking and driving," said Sheriff Bill Gore. "Remember: Buzzed Driving Is Drunk Driving."
Deputies arrested five drivers on suspicion of DUI on Cinco de Mayo in 2016. Five drivers were arrested by the Sheriff's Department for drinking and driving on the same day in 2015. Deputies arrested four drivers on Cinco de Mayo in 2014.

Funding for the DUI patrols is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
